This scheme was introduced in that state in October 2016 by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Akhilesh Yadav. This is the world’s largest emergency helpline which works 24*7. The scheme named as UP – 100 Emergency Service and the budget allotted by the UP state Govt. for this project is Rs. 2200 Crore.
Features of this Scheme:
- While a person Dial 100 in Urban areas helpers will reach there within 15 minutes and in Rural Area they will take 20 minutes.
- The government has provided around 3 thousand 4 wheelers and more than 1500 motorcycles to the police to reach quickly at the crime or another case.
- This scheme is spread in 11 districts of the state and also they are spreading in another district.
